Showing/hiding shared fields

From the Administration Menu, click on Database Manager > Show/Hide shared fields

Every department/subject on Pupil Tracking must have the shared fields included in their field list. However, shared fields can be hidden from departments who do not wish to see them.

For example:
The department DofE might be created to allow Duke of Edinburgh award data to be stored. As DofE is not an academic subject it does not need to see or use shared fields.

By hiding shared fields from departments it is assumed that they are not academic departments and as such will not appear in any comparisons or reports that use shared fields. Departments with hidden shared fields will also not see the Active Campaigns menu (Pupil Tracking Plus only) on their homepage and thus will not be prompted to complete a campaign.
