Other questions about text elements have been answered in the FAQs below: Q. Once a campaign has started, does it matter if I add element statements for departments to use during the campaign? A. You can add statements at any time. If users click on Select statement and there are no statements it will tell them. If statements are added they will become available for selection. Q. Can you create different statements for different year groups? A. Yes. You can create different statements for different subjects and different year groups. At the time of creation you can also issue the same statements to multiple subjects and year groups. Q. What is the maximum number of text elements I can include in a single campaign? Q. You may include 5 departmental and 5 pastoral text elements in each campaign that you create. Q. Once I have created text elements can I choose the order and the text elements to use in a campaign? A. Yes. You can create many different text elements and only include the ones you need in a campaign. For example you may have created the text elements Attainment, Effort, Behaviour, Ways Forward, Target 1, Target 2, Exam Progress etc... When setting up a campaign for Y8 you may include the text elements Target 1 and Target 2. When setting up a campaign for Y11 you may include the text elements Attainment, Effort, Ways Forward and Exam Progress. The order in which the statements appear can be decided when setting up a campaign. Q. What is the maximum number of statements I can create for each text element? A. You may create up to 100 statements for each statement/department/year group. For example, a school with year groups 7,8,9,10 and 11 could create 100 statements for the text element 'Attainment' for Maths for year 7, 100 statements for the text element 'Attainment' for Maths for year 8, 100 statements for the text element 'Attainment' for Maths for year 9 etc... That's 500 possible statements for Maths, 500 possible statements for English, 500 possible statements for Science etc... Q. Can I use carriage returns and bullets in a statement? A.Yes. A maximum of 20 carriage returns are allowed per statement and any white space at the beginning and end of a statement is trimmed from the statement upon saving. Q. The English department wants to comment on reading and writing and the Maths department wants to comment on algebra, shapes, long division etc.. How should I set up text elements to deal with this? A. Departments commenting on different areas of their subject are still reporting on a single text element. For example an English department commenting on reading and writing is still commenting on the 'Attainment' of a pupil, they are merely using the language of their subject to do so. When selecting statements it is possible to build a paragraph by adding a number of small statements rather than inserting a large single statement to create a paragraph. By creating many statements covering different subject areas the user can build a suitable paragraph.
